#geek - #Entertainment Center Clock?

Entertainment Center Clock?

Not sure where to post this, hope ya'll can help.

I have a cable box that has a somewhat large digital clock on the front in my TV stand. I'm planning on dropping cable TV off my plan and won't have the cable box anymore but I really like having the clock. Does anyone sell a "cable box" shaped clock or anyone have a DIY option? I have a Raspberry Pi I'm not current using.

Would r/geek like to send birthday flowers to Alan Turing?

Well... to Alan Turing's statue... which is in Manchester, England.

Every year, people pledge bunches of flowers to be placed at Alan Turing's statue in Manchester for his birthday, which is on th 23rd of June. In the process we raise money for the amazing charity Special Effect, which helps people with disabilities access computer games.

So for this year we've raised about £1500, which about £500 of that coming via reddit - mostly r/Maths, who've been amazing. I wanted to check if anyone at r/Geek would like to get involved? Donations are made up of £3.50 to cover the cost of the flowers and a £13 charity contribution to Special Effect for a total of £16.50.

Our PayPal Pool is open for donations.

Manchester city council have confirmed they are fine with it, and we have people in Manchester who will help handle the set up and clean up. Sound like fun?
