Why are my pdfs saving and opening in Chrome?
Little Old Lady, here- only semi-techie, and a little panicky... I've messed something up and haven't a clue where to go to fix it!
Something really weird started happening yesterday. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro on my computer- have had for ages- and that is what I use for all pdf files. I added an Epson GTS-S55 scanner to my setup this week, and now all of a sudden my saved pdf files are saving as Chrome pdfs. The icons don't show Adobe acrobat- they show with the Chrome colors on them and when I try to open them, they actually open in a Chrome browser. In addition, I scanned something 2 sided with the scanner and instead of saving all the pages together as one pdf document, the pages all saved individually. Then when I used Acrobat to combine all the pages and saved it, they saved with a Chrome icon and now the combined file opens in Chrome, not Acrobat.
I have not a CLUE in the world how to fix that. I'm sure it's something that happened when I added the scanner- but I've had an Epson scanner before and it always used Adobe, so I don't know how the Chrome got in there.
Help!
