Salvaged parts from a retail kiosk with a touchscreen. Looking for ideas.
I'm looking for a project that me and my 8-year-old can do together, using the parts I salvaged from a kiosk my employer was told to dispose of. Before being sent to the dumpster, I stripped everything I could out of it, including:
- 19" Single-touch Elo touchscreen
- 2 speaker audio amplifier
- 2 crappy speakers
- Zebra thermal receipt printer
I'm thinking a raspberry pi plus some imagination could make something cool.
Me: Computer literate, no maker experience, very few tools, limited budget.
8yr old: Loves crafting, family projects, video games, and other stereotypical 8 year old girl stuff.
Mom: "No internet in the kid's room!"
Y'all got any ideas? Thanks!
